Le Modulor

Le Modulor is of the popular structure design method which was used to discover mathematical proportions in the human body and then to use that knowledge to improve both the appearance and function of architecture. The Modulor is an anthropometric ruler of sizes devised by the Swiss-born French architect Le Corbusier (1887–1965).It was industrialized as a visual bridge between two mismatched scales, the Imperial system and the Metric system. It is based on the height of an English man with his arm raised. It was used as a system to set out a number of Le Corbusier's buildings and was later codified into two books.

There many ways a word can express in many way since a design can express by a measurement of concept and content so my concern I like to say that this scaling method is not only way but, this a way of surface similarity between Le Modulor and the ideas of Christopher Alexander as described at, Le Modulor presumes that tuneful design can, must, proceed from a scale of scopes analogous to the scale of tones used in music.

This scale is derived from a sub-Vitruvius, sub-Leonardo analysis of a six-foot high person with one arm above their head, the other hand held at waist height.

Underneath the surface, the contrast with Alexander is stark:

  • As I understand it, CA hopes to find out the orders of scale that naturally result in harmonious composition, and these may be different, but related, in different situations.
  • Corb has decided that he knows what those orders are, according to an aesthetic of his own, and is determined to apply them universally and rigidly.

“The graphic representation of the Modulor, a stylized human figure with one arm raised, stands next to two vertical measurements, a red series based on the figure's navel height (1.08m in the original version, 1.13m in the revised version) then segmented according to Phi, and a blue series based on the figure's entire height, double the navel height (2.16m in the original version, 2.26m in the revised), segmented similarly. A spiral, graphically developed between the red and blue segments, seems to mimic the volume of the human figure.” By Wikipedia

Bad Influence in Society

A social media is a technology which is using highly accessible and scalable communication technique. The term refers to the use of web based and mobile technologies to turn communication into interactive dialogue.

There are a lot of explanations for social media but simply it’s a communication technique. These days teenagers are addicted of social media because the more youbrowse the more you get friends, earlier days such as 19th century or 20th century a human really want to connect with other humans what they had that is not enough for the communication but, these days what they have its getting enough for normal life since we always say we need more. Our limitation of communication is getting more than a sky limit because of our culture is getting change with new technology of social media. A teenager never notice his life is getting harm because of this social life style changes, since we know there are a lot of advantages in social media but at the same time, we have disadvantages also

.

Teens who excessively text or spend lots of time on social networks run a higher risk of developing health problems, says a study recently presented at the American Public Health Association's (APHA) annual meeting.

Hyper-texting, which the study defined as sending more than 120 texts a day, and hyper-networking, defined as spending more than three hours a day on social networking sites, produced a higher likelihood of trying cigarettes, binge drinking, and using illegal drugs among other activities that researchers consider "dangerous," says Scott Frank, lead researcher and director of Case Western Reserve School of Medicine's Master of Public Health program. "This should be a wake-up call for parents to not only help their children stay safe by not texting and driving, but by discouraging excessive use of the cell phone or social websites in general."

Nevertheless these days teenager’s life is getting to worse part. Their life style is getting more off side in their culture. Teens that spent hours online in social networks showed higher odds for depression, fighting, poor academics, and poor sleep among other behavior concerns. They were also 69 percent more likely to binge drink than those who spend less time networking online. Teenagers pregnancy percentage is getting high level ,currently in this world of television programs in MTV there is a very successful which call “teenage mom” this program is all about people who getting pregnant without a proper father ,unmarried or without a support of family or another backgrounds, according to this program we can see some teenager are appreciate to be like that and they loved to live a life style like that but among then 90% of teenagers are really not happy with that, some teenagers clearly define that their lost or they don’t have an idea what they are doing. Actually this program is trying to find a solution for them since, day by day the condense rate is getting high.

After 2006 American health association committee and MTV program researches, they conflict because of social media teenagers are addicted to a changing environment day by day such as unusual dress coding, dating, sexually behaviors, trying to be attractive more than others as well because of these reasons their sexual relationships is getting day by day higher. They simply proved that the teenage pregnancy level is high because of social media’s high involvement.
